Fisher, Bren & Sheridan is proud to announce that following a recent week-long jury trial, Amy Sieben and Brian Steffes obtained a defense verdict of no liability for our Property Owner (Landlord) and Property Manager client.
Our client was sued in a workers’ compensation subrogation action wherein the workers’ compensation carrier Plaintiff attempted to recoup money it paid to employees who worked in the office building owned and managed by our client. The Plaintiff alleged that our client negligently maintained and managed the building, which caused multiple workers’ compensation claims for injuries. At closing arguments, Plaintiff requested damages totaling $1,025,000. However, the jury agreed with our evidence and arguments and found that no condition existed in the building that led to the employees’ claims
